While in the open women’s weight class Britain’s Emily Campbell won gold twice with a great performance in the clean and jerk, in the open men’s weight class nobody could do anything against Georgia’s Lasha Talakhadze.
The penultimate day of competition at this year’s European Weightlifting Championships is in the books. While the German athlete Matthäus Hofmann won bronze in the snatch in the weight category up to 102 kg, the Norwegian Solfrid Koanda triumphed in the category up to 87 kg.
