In an exclusive interview, German lifter Lisa Marie Schweizer talks about her difficult preparation before the European Championships in Albania, the competition as well as her medals and the competition conditions on site.

Lisa Marie Schweizer had not expected this, but at the end of her competition in the weight category up to 71 kg she held three medals in her hands. Even a gold medal – in the snatch no other athlete was able to lift more than 103 kg overhead – one bronze medal – probably the most surprising medal of the evening for the 26-year-old – and also a silver medal – Schweizer finished second in the total in the end behind her Speyer team member Patricia Strenius.

In an exclusive interview, she now talks about her terrific competition, but also about the difficult preparation before the European Championships. The 26-year-old also tells how important national coach Almir Velagic was for her during the competition and how the flow helped her to surprisingly but completely deservedly take home three medals.
